The Town of Falmouth has long had an interest in preserving open space and the town’s rural character. That interest became even more focused in 2006 with the adoption of the town’s open space plan, The Greening of Falmouth and the creation of the position of open space ombudsman.
A Town Council appointed-committee, the Land Management & Acquisition Committee (LMAC) oversees the implementation of The Greening of Falmouth and the management of the town’s many open space properties.
As part of the Land Management Team’s work, this webpage was created in an effort to provide a comprehensive look at all of the Town's Parks and Public Spaces. One of the team's goals was to provide ease of access to this information for the public’s use. The impressive ‘green spaces’ on the mapping demonstrate Falmouth’s commitment to providing and preserving open spaces in the Town.
