In April 2011 Falmouth was named “Top City to Live and Learn” by Forbes Magazine and GreatSchools in their second annual national study ranking cities across the United States. Falmouth schools earned an education quality score of 100.00.

Interested in eco-tourism and the outdoors? In July 2015 the Town of Falmouth and the Falmouth Land Trust were recognized by Downeast Magazine for "Best Collaborative Trail-Building Endeavor." A mountain bike trail network of 45 miles has been created in last decade.

On April 26, 2010 the Falmouth Town Council unanimously adopted an order to create an "Economic Improvement Committee." This committee was established in the winter of 2011. Please go to the committee's webpage for meeting agendas and minutes.
