The Information Systems Department is responsible for providing development, maintenance, training and oversight of the Town's computer and information systems. This includes supporting 155 users, 9 remote sites, 18 servers, hardware and software, GIS, the web page, phone system, security system and the Town's wide area network.
The Town of Falmouth's computer environment consists of:
- HP Blade Servers running Xenserver
- 5 Citrix Servers
- 1 Exchange Server
- 1 GIS Server
These servers process the day to day activity of all the departments at Town Hall, Police, Fire, Public Works, and Wastewater. This department also supports Yarmouth Police and Fire Users and North Yarmouth Fire with IMC and other connectivity. All the above systems are connected in a LAN & WAN environment, allowing information to be shared over a Fiber and cable connection.
