FALMOUTH ROUTE ONE INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT

Construction Update #17, August 24, 2014 – SPECIAL BULLETIN

Construction supervisors, preparing for night work scheduled to begin this Sunday evening, made a review of areas scheduled for construction during the upcoming week.

It was determined that some of the duct bank installation slated for Depot Road would be unreasonably disruptive to some homeowners if it occurred overnight. As a result, crews from Sargent Corporation and Moulison North are revising their work schedule.

Duct bank installation on some parts of Depot Road will occur during daylight hours. Scheduling is not yet complete, but the work could begin as early as Monday, August 25.

This work will necessitate flagger-controlled one-way traffic on Depot Road.

Crews are well aware of potential concerns regarding driveway access, and will contact owners in advance of any earthwork in front of their properties. Large steel road plates will also be put in place to preserve access until the duct bank trench is backfilled.
