Summary
Update on community outreach by committee members regarding the Falmouth Business League concept.
Description
The Falmouth Business League concept is intended to be an independent network of companies and individuals that do business in Falmouth aimed at promoting success in our community. The League would focus on the success of businesses as well as that of Falmouth as a community.
The FEIC is getting feedback from “first-line stakeholders,” such as Falmouth-Cumberland Community Chamber members, key local businesses in areas such as retail, real estate, home-based businesses, professional services, retirement community, Falmouth Memorial Library, and Falmouth Schools. Next, the FEIC hopes to finetune a viewpoint on the League, convene interested parties, and identify possible pilot actions for 2020.
This effort is intended to complement, and not replace, efforts by the Falmouth-Cumberland Community Chamber, Greater Portland Chamber, Falmouth Economic Improvement Committee, and any similar organizations.
