Falmouth Food Pantry

We previously reported that the Food Pantry will be closing later this week. They are planning to reassess operations in two weeks. To be clear, the Food Pantry facility at Falmouth Town Hall is closed, but the Food Pantry’s mission to distribute food to those in need is still operational.

During the next two weeks, existing clients that have urgent food needs should contact the Food Pantry emergency telephone numbers 632-2687 (primary), 781-2996 (secondary). Please leave a message by speaking slowly and repeating your name and phone number. Falmouth residents with emerging needs that need to become a new client should also use the emergency telephone numbers.

The best way for people to support the Food Pantry is through financial donations. The value of food distributed to the 70 Falmouth families served by the Food Pantry is approximately $7,000 each month. Donations should be made payable to the Falmouth Food Pantry and mailed to: 279 Middle Road, Falmouth, ME 04105. Online donations can be made at: https://tinyurl.com/yx5hovpn.  There are currently no volunteer positions available at this time based on the current operations.

We will offer updates on the status of the Food Pantry operations as they become available including a list of food products that are needed for distribution in the future.

Town Services

We are conducting business transactions remotely and electronically. We will continue to assess how services are offered going forward. For an update regarding online and remote services, click here.

Later this week we will announce an update on our efforts to enhance current services and possibly create new services related to the impact of COVID-19 and increase awareness of these services. We will also connect with other Falmouth entities that are providing services and support to residents. An example of these services include: Senior services and outreach, outreach to those with disabilities, General Assistance for those that qualify for this program, business resource guide, Town and the Food Pantry collaboration, ideas to help residents maintain physical and mental wellness, and more.

We also want to learn more from you. How can we help you? As Town operations have now stabilized, we want to know what our residents need during this time. What should we be doing to assist you and your neighbors? Please call or email Maggie Fleming at: 699-5329 or mfleming@falmouthme.org.
