FEF Spelling Bee

The 12th Annual FEF Spelling Bee, 300th Anniversary Edition, to benefit Falmouth Education Foundation will be held on April 5 at 6:30pm.
Teams will compete for the coveted title of FEF Spelling Champions. The event will be held at the Elementary School Cafeteria and doors will open at 6pm for pizza, drinks and baked goods. All proceeds will go to foster educational excellence for our town’s children.
Doors open at 6 pm so bring the family for dinner before the BEE!
The Format
Each team will consist of three spellers, who will have the opportunity to confer before offering their answer. The tone of the bee will be light-hearted and fun: costumes, themes and mascots are encouraged! For those who like to do their homework, www.wordcentral.com is a great resource. Others may prefer to expend their energies on team Tee shirts. Whatever your style, please know that your participation in the FEF Spelling Bee will help us to continue our mission of promoting innovative student development in Falmouth.
Entries & Sponsorships
The cost to participate in the FEF Spelling Bee is $100 per person or $300 per team. We welcome individual or team sponsorships and donations of all sizes, as these will allow us to underwrite administrative and teacher teams from our schools. Entry fees are fully tax-deductible. On the night of the Bee, all attendees will receive a program listing contestants, sponsors and donors. Secure and easy donations of any amount can be made on the DONATE PAGE.
Since its inception in 1993, the Falmouth Education Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in grants to support initiatives in the arts, academics and athletics for children in grades K – 12. Monies available for grants are generated through several fund raisers over the course of the year. The FEF Spelling Bee will help us meet the growing needs of our schools in this era of tight budgets. Please join the fun and help us spell excellence for Falmouth’s children!
