A Deserted and Conquered Country: Falmouth's Tumultuous Birth

For over one hundred years, Casco Bay lay at the center of a geopolitical struggle that spanned the globe. This talk will explore the Indian wars which devastated Falmouth three centuries ago and how they led to familiar events such as the Salem Witch Trials. Join Zachary Bennett, a Ph.D. candidate in history at Rutgers University and a 2007 graduate of Falmouth High School, to learn how conflict in early Falmouth shaped American history and why these contributions have been largely forgotten.
