OceanView Announced as Lead Sponsor of Falmouth300

Falmouth300 is pleased to announce that OceanView at Falmouth will be the Lead Sponsor for the Falmouth300 commemoration kicking off in December 2017 and running throughout 2018.  "We are very excited to have OceanView's support of this mile-stone event in Falmouth's history," said Ellen Snyder, Fundraising Chair for the Ad-Hoc Tercentennial Planning Committee which is overseeing commemorative planning.  "OceanView and its residents are such an integral part of our community.  So many OceanView residents are life-long or long-time residents of Falmouth with deep roots and engaging stories about our community's past.  It is truly fitting for OceanView, as the Lead Sponsor, to have an integral role in this once-in-a-lifetime event," Snyder stated.

The Committee has been working for over a year to set a calendar of activities and events, develop an exhibit, and compile a commemorative publication.  Other community organizations are also planning events, activities and programs to mark the year.  "We are looking for town-wide collaboration," stated Tercentennial Coordinator, Erin Bishop-Cadigan.  The committee's goal is to encourage and engage community organizations, booster groups, school clubs, and businesses to get involved in some way to mark the occasion.  Snyder agreed, "It's going to be an exciting year of activities and a great opportunity for all of Falmouth to join together in honor of our 300th anniversary," she said.  She also noted that it is not too late for other businesses to get involved as sponsors.  "We hope other businesses will join OceanView in supporting the tercentennial," she said.  "It's a chance not only to give back to the community but a wonderful opportunity to promote Falmouth and your business as well."
