April 28, 2020 Letter from Council Chair Amy Kuhn Regarding Reopening Plan for Town Facilities

Town of Falmouth Logo

Dear Neighbors,

Earlier today, Governor Mills announced a gradual relaxation of the stay-at-home restrictions beginning on May 1 and continuing through the summer. Falmouth Town staff is now in the process of developing a plan for reopening Town facilities that is consistent with the Governor’s order.

Right now, staff anticipates opening the transfer station on May 5th for brush and leaf drop-off (residents only). They are also developing a plan to open trailhead parking lots within the next week, as soon as appropriate social distancing protocols can be established. Opening of other Town facilities will follow in accordance with state directives.

On Friday, staff will post more detailed information on trails and the transfer station. They will also offer an update on tentative plans to reopen other Town facilities.

Thank you all for your patience, fortitude, and goodwill during this challenging time. I wish you good health and well being as we adjust to this new normal together.

Kind regards,
