Vision & Values Project Update

Vision & Values Project Logo

The Falmouth community-driven Vision & Values project has completed its first major milestone! Community Survey #1 closed on January 31 with over 1,700 submissions and a 75% completion rate. Future Summit #1 was held on March 1 via Zoom, resulting in additional community feedback.

The results of the survey have been posted on the Vision & Values project portal data visualization platform. There is also a video that explains how to use the platform and outlines some initial high-level results. The data is presented in interactive charts, so you can go in and explore what the community thinks about a range of key issues, and then drill in and see where various cohorts may share or differ in perspective.

On March 1 and March 29, Future iQ hosted Future Summits to present data gathered from the survey and to explore future community aspirations through interactive polling questions with attendees. You can watch a video of the March 1 meeting at:  A video of the March 29 meeting will also be posted to the Vision & Values portal shortly.

On April 12, David Beurle from Future iQ gave an update to the Town Council with results from the two Future Summits held in March as well as next steps in the Visioning Process. You can watch David's presentation at: David will provide an additonal update at the May 24 Town Council meeting.

Next steps include discussion forums on the Vision & Values Portal and Focus Groups. Town officials are working with Future iQ to determine broad topics for these forums and focus groups (see David's presentation above) and what forms the focus groups will take--virtual, in person, or a mixture of both (keeping all CDC guidance on COVID-related health and safety precautions in mind).
