Location, Parking: The launch is at 36 Blackstrap Road, between the Turnpike overpass and the Presumpscot River Bridge.
Property Description: This is a carry-in launch site suitable for canoes, kayaks and perhaps inner tubes. The parking area is also an access point to the Sebago to the Sea Trail.
Natural Features: The river runs slowly through this area, making this an excellent launch site for a paddle trip either up or down the river. Wildlife is abundant, including eagles, osprey, beaver, otter, mink, ducks and a wide variety of songbirds.
History: The property was acquired by the town in 2005.
Allowable Uses: Boat launch, fishing.
Cautions: If you plan a trip down river, be sure to portage around the falls!
