Caleb Hemphill was elected to the Town Council in 2014. Caleb and his wife Rebecca moved to Falmouth in 1999. Their two children attended Falmouth schools and have now graduated from college. Caleb is a graduate of Middlebury College and has a MS in Environmental Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
Caleb served six years on the Falmouth Conservation Commission, five years on the Falmouth Trails Advisory Committee and, just prior to joining the Town Council, was Chair of the Land Management and Acquisitions Committee. He has also been very active as a volunteer for the Falmouth Land Trust and Town trail system and has been, until recently, an Advisor with the Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset.
Caleb has a preservation woodworking business that focuses on the restoration and conservation of historic structures and museum houses.
