Jay was elected to the Town Council in 2019. He serves on the Finance and Community Development Committees. Jay is also the liaison to the Shellfish Conservation Committee and is Falmouth's alternate delegate to the Portland Area Comprehensive Transit System.
Jay has practiced law for 12 years, advising startups and investors in the venture capital industry and also represents businesses and governmental entities in commercial and real estate litigation. He is a member of the bar in Maine, California, and Guam. Jay graduated with a B.A. from the College of William and Mary and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Jay and his wife Sara have been married for eight years. They met in the San Francisco Bay Area, where both started their legal careers. They moved to Falmouth in 2014. Jay and Sara have three young sons, the oldest a student at Falmouth Elementary School. Jay likes to spend his free time exploring the Town Landing and Casco Bay with his boys, skiing in the winter and golfing in the summer, and cooking for family and friends.
