Recovery & Mental Health Resources
The Falmouth Police Department benefits from the support of Community Resource Liaison (CRL) Lauren Bartlett, and Cumberland County OPTIONS Clinician Tom MacElhaney, who take a team approach to substance use disorder by providing essential guidance, mentorship, and resources to our Falmouth residents who are experiencing substance and/or alcohol use disorder and their affected loved ones. They offer problem-solving strategies to achieve health and wellness, lessen stigmas associated with substance use disorder, identify and remove barriers to success, and tailor pathways and modalities of treatment unique to each individual. Through mutual trust, open dialogue, and forged peer and ally relationships, the goal is to disrupt patterns of behavior and empower individuals by connecting them to a multitude of resources, treatments, and supports within the recovery and mental health communities.
Community Resource Liaison (CRL) Lauren Bartlett holds a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Thomas College. CRL Bartlett’s prior employment has been as a mental health worker at Riverview Psychiatric Center and a Wells Police Department summer reserve officer. Her role will be to follow up on matters pertaining to mental health and substance and/or alcohol use disorder and recommend critical resources. Please contact CRL Bartlett via email at: lbartlett@spurwink.org.
