Charter Review Commission
Article II, Sec. 219 of the Town of Falmouth Charter states, “At least once every 10 years, the Town Council shall, on its own motion and without requiring a petition, create a Charter Review Commission in the manner prescribed by the Home Rule statute, 30-A M.R.S.A. Section 2102 et seq.”
The purpose of the Charter Review Commission is to review and revise the Town's Charter. All Charter revisions are submitted to the voters.
The last Charter Review Commission was convened in 2018 with revisions taking effect on July 1, 2019.
