FALMOUTH - ROUTE 100 PROJECT

Construction Update #39 – April 9, 2020

The following information reflects the latest available information regarding the Route 100 Project in Falmouth. Please note that forward-looking information is based upon projections and is subject to change due to weather and other variables.

Note: Construction Updates will be provided on an as-needed basis, unless activities warrant more frequent updates.

 

WORK HOURS:

Work in the Route 100 Project zone will consist of normal construction working hours.

 

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

  • Multiple crews will be working on multiple facets of the project.
  • Special Note: The entire construction team is working under new guidelines related to Coronavirus. This is to ensure the safety of all employees and the general public.

 

WORK YOU’RE LIKELY TO SEE THE WEEKS OF APRIL 13TH AND APRIL 20TH:

Shaw Brothers will continue:

  • Installing gravel for new sidewalks,
  • Final grading of side slopes,
  • Loam and Seed.
  • Shaw Brothers, working for the Portland Water District, will be installing new water main on Gray Road. Inspections of the water main, that occurred late last season, showed the need to replace additional sections of water line. This work was deferred until spring (now). Locations are as follows:
    • Gray Road, between Leighton Road and Exit 53.
    • Leighton Road, west of Gray Road.

CPM Construction will be working on the Libby Bridge, north of Mountain Road.

Curb installers will be installing granite curb along Gray Road between Leighton Road and Exit 53.

route 100We've all been waiting to see what Route 100 will ultimately look like. With new curb, sidewalks prepared, and final grading done in most areas, it's starting to take shape.
