Construction Update #35 – December 5, 2019  - Two-week outlook

The following information reflects the latest available information regarding the Route 100 Project in Falmouth. Please note that forward-looking information is based upon projections and is subject to change due to weather and other variables.

Note: There will not be a weekly construction update next week, unless substantial changes warrant one.

 

WORK HOURS:

Work in the Route 100 Project zone for the remainder of this week and next week will consist of normal construction working hours:

 

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

  • Multiple crews are working on multiple facets of the project.
  • This week and next week’s primary focus will be construction related to driveway aprons, traffic signals, and lighting.

 

WORK YOU’RE LIKELY TO SEE THE REMINDER OF THIS WEEK, NEXT WEEK, AND THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 16TH:

This Week:

  • Shaw Brothers are preparing and paving driveway aprons, as weather and temperatures allow.
  • Moulison Electric are continuing to work on traffic signal system installations at the Leighton Rd./Gray Rd. and Mountain Rd./Gray Rd. intersections.
  • Moulison Electric are continuing to work on light pole conduit for pedestrian/sidewalk lighting;
  • Contractors are continuing to adjust new catch basin frames and covers along Gray Road so that drainage is collected along the roadway edges.
  • Summit Natural Gas is installing new gas utility infrastructure in various locations.
  • NOTE: The last communication noted that new curb would be installed. That work has been postponed until spring, due to weather and other factors.

 

Next Week:

  • Continuation of above-noted work from this week.
  • Installation of drainage infrastructure on Leighton Road.
  • Shaping and clean up of entire work zone.
  • Installation of guard rail at various locations along the easterly sideline of Gray Road:
    • Near Rich Exterior Solutions
    • Across from Marston Street
    • Other Misc. Locations

 

Week of December 16th:

  • Continued cleanup and shaping of areas along roadway edges
  • Continued work related to traffic signals and sidewalk lighting.
  • Continued work on drainage infrastructure on Leighton Road.
