Falmouth Road

This is what you call a ‘box-cut’ in the construction industry. Work involves removing the existing pavement and gravel in a roadway; then replacing it all with new gravel and pavement (at new elevations). A Shaw Brothers crew member is verifying elevations with survey equipment to provide the excavator operator the info on how deep to excavate. One of the many goals of this project is to correct the pavement transition areas here at the Falmouth/Gray/Mountain Road intersection.
