Summary
- Update from the Town Attorney regarding an opinion on whether one of the proposed charter amendments would be consistent with state and federal law
- A possible resolution regarding the Charter Revision, section 402.
*The proposed resolution was not finalized until after the Council's Thursday deadline for agenda items. The Council can entertain a procedural motion to waive Council Rules Section 11 to add this action to the agenda. Should such procedural motion pass, the Council could take action on this resolution and public comment would be taken (3 minutes per person)*
Description
Town Attorney Amy Tchao has discovered that there is a minor concern with one section of the proposed charter revision. She will offer an updated legal opinion that describes this particular concern along with a proposed solution.
