Discussion about the Council Chairperson’s authority to issue a proclamation that declares a local civil emergency, per Art. II-2-5 Sec.2-507 of the Falmouth Code of Ordinances.
A public comment period will not be included with this item.
ACTION: Council action is not anticipated.
Description
The Chair may determine that a proclamation is necessary and depending on the discussion with the Town Council during this agenda item, may take such action. In the event that she does proclaim an emergency, the Council will consider an order in the next agenda item to extend the time of the emergency from 5 to 30 days.
