Summary

Public Hearing and Order relative to a new license for the Cumberland Farmers’ Market Association to establish a summer market.

A public comment period will be included.

ACTION: Council action is anticipated.

Description

The Cumberland Farmers’ Market Association has submitted an application under Article II-8-14 of the ordinance for a new license to establish a summer market. The summer market would be located at the Town-owned Village Park property (23 Hat Trick Drive) where the market operated in past years. 

As required, the application has been reviewed by all applicable reviewing departments, including Fire, Police, Wastewater, Public Works, and Community Development.    

The license agreement was revised on May 11 to reflect changes requested by Council leadership, town management, and the town attorney. The orginial and revised versions of the license agreement are attached.
