Legacy Award

The Legacy Award recognizes residents of Falmouth whose volunteer efforts have contributed to the improvement of our community’s civic, educational, recreational, and/or charitable organizations over a period of many years and whose contributions have left a lasting legacy for future residents of Falmouth. This is a very special award only given in cases of exceptional service to the Falmouth community.


Legacy Award Recipients

2021  Carol Iverson Kauffman for her service in leadership roles in the Falmouth Congregational Church (as a Faith Community Nurse), Falmouth Historical Society (as a board member, Treasurer and President), and OceanView at Falmouth. She has served on numerous Town Committees including Falmouth Senior Citizens Committee, Falmouth Wellness Committee (as Vice Chair), and she played an integral role in the Falmouth Tercentennial Committee. 

2020  David Halligan, Sr. in commemoration of his lifetime of service to Falmouth as the first male president of Falmouth’s Parent Teacher Organization, one of the founders of Falmouth’s Little League who was instrumental in establishing the Legion Field complex, a volunteer firefighter for 53 years, and an active member of American Legion Post 164.
