2024 Town of Falmouth Comprehensive Plan Update

The Town of Falmouth is excited to present a draft of the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update. This Plan is the result of a multi-year community effort beginning with the Vision and Values initiative in 2020. The Plan is a long-term vision and roadmap for Falmouth's future and will guide Town decisions on managing growth and redevelopment, investing in capital improvements, and addressing community issues. To learn more about the process and read the draft plan, please see the links to the right. 

Thank you to all Town residents and community members who attended meetings, responded to surveys, and provided input throughout the process to help create this Plan.

The Plan outlines community involvement, the Six Pillars, policies and strategies to implement the Six Pillars, and an implementation plan to support the Town and other community members in putting the Plan into action. We welcome you to review and provide feedback on the document. Planning helps to ensure that future growth and policy decisions are consistent with the Town's vision and that the community is prepared to respond to potential changes, including economic shifts, environmental impacts, and technology innovations.

Yes, the Town of Falmouth has heard you! Community feedback from the Vision and Values initiative has been compiled, analyzed, and presented in a final report. This information will inform the comprehensive planning process and will be incorporated to help guide the discussion for the Comprehensive Plan.

The Comprehensive Plan will be used by the Town Council, staff, boards, committees, and commissions to guide decision making; however, the successful implementation of a comprehensive plan requires involvement from the whole community. Residents, business owners, community organizations, local leaders, regional agencies, and schools can all play a part in realizing the Town's vision.
