Sean Mahoney was elected to the Town Council in 2012. Sean and his wife Jenn moved to Falmouth in 1998. Sean is a graduate of Bowdoin College, served in the US Peace Corps in Sri Lanka and graduated from the University Of Virginia School Of Law. After working for a law firm in San Francisco, Sean returned to Maine where he worked at Verrill Dana LLP until 2007. He is now the vice-president of the Conservation Law Foundation.
In Falmouth, Sean was the president of the Falmouth Land Trust for almost 10 years, including overseeing the purchase of the Blackstrap Hill Preserve. He has been active in youth sports, coaching in the Falmouth Youth Soccer Association since 2005 and as a t-ball coach for more years than he can recall. He has 3 children, Gabriel, Lucy and Owen, who attend Falmouth schools.
