Summary
Order to authorize the Town Manager to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements for mutual aid with the following communities: Cumberland, Long Island, Westbrook, Windham, Yarmouth.
A public comment period will be included with this item (3 minutes).
ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Description
Falmouth Fire/EMS has many mutual aid agreements with neighboring communities. These are periodically updated. While reviewing one recently, the Town Attorney said the Town Council must authorize the Town Manager to sign them per 30-A M.R.S. sec. 3156.
A blank MOU is attached. This MOU template will be used for all future MOU's. The template has been approved by the Town Attorney.
