Summary
Public hearing on a proposal for the delivery of assessing services from Cumberland County.

Description
The Town of Falmouth is working with Cumberland County on a regional assessing option. This collaboration began when the Towns of Cumberland, North Yarmouth and Yarmouth lost its shared assessor to the Town of Scarborough. The Falmouth Assessor is retiring in June which coincides with the timing of this effort.
A presentation was offered to the Town Council on January 13. On January 27, the Town Council approved an order that authorized the Town Manager to negotiate a contract with Cumberland County and bring it back to the Town Council for final approval.
