Summary
Ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances, Div. II-2-3-5. Conservation Commission in order to update the charge of the Conservation Commission.

Description
In response to changes made to the structure of the committees responsible for the Town's open space and land management program, the Falmouth Conservation Commission undertook a review of their charge and are now proposing the attached amendment. Their goals in rewriting their charge were to update, simplify, and remove any overlapping of responsibilities. In drafting the proposed amendment, they reviewed the powers and duties described in the law of the State of Maine, the strategies of the Comprehensive Plan, the duties of LMAC, and the powers and duties for the FCC as they saw them.
Attached are a letter of introduction by Councilor Hemphill, the current ordinance language, and the proposed amendment language.
