Summary
Ordinance to provide an exemption from vehicle excise tax to eligible, active duty military personnel .

Description
The Town currently offers an exemption from excise taxes, allowed under State law, to eligible, active duty military personnel who live in Falmouth and are stationed within the State of Maine. The state legislature changed the law in 2012 to allow for an exemption to be offered to those military personnel stationed outside the state as well, but the Town is required to pass an ordinance in order to offer it.
