Summary
Order to approve a Memorandum of Understanding with the Falmouth Land Trust regarding the purchase of property known as Hurricane Valley Farm.

Description
The Falmouth Land Trust (FLT) came to the Town Council in February, 2015 with a request for financial assistance to purchase the Hurricane Valley Farm property, consisting of 62 acres of open fields, farmland and wetlands.
In approving the appropriation of $400,000 to assist with the purchase, the Town Council asked the Town Manager to negotiate a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FLT in order to assure the intent of agricultural use of the land is maintained.
UPDATE 05/11/15: The final draft language of the MOU has been reviewed by the Town Attorney and is now attached to this item
