Summary
Public Hearing on an amendment to the Code of Ordinances Div. II-2-3-12. Economic Improvement Committee to update the charge and membership of the Falmouth Economic Improvement Committee (FEIC).
A public comment period will be included with this item (5 minutes).

Description
Last May the Town Council accepted an Economic Development Strategy, prepared by the Falmouth Economic Improvement Committee (FEIC), and requested the FEIC to recommend a 2015-16 Work Plan.
The FEIC submitted the Work Plan, but also recommended that the Council - with the completion of the Economic Development Strategy - review and amend the charge for the FEIC and its membership.
The recommendations can be summarized as follows:
- update the charge to reflect the new work of the FEIC as assisting the Council with implementation of the Economic Development Strategy, and
- make the temporary expansion of the FEIC from 7 to 9 members for the purposes of the preparation of the Economic Development Strategy permanent.
The latter change will allow the two current "plus" members (Wasileski and Walker) to continue their valuable service on the committee.
