Summary

Order to adopt a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (“HRA”) for eligible employees of the Town; authorize the Town Manager to enter into an agreement with Group Dynamic to provide administrative services to the Town with respect to the HRA; direct the Town Manager to execute said HRA and said administrative service agreement provided said documents are in a form acceptable to the Town Manger and to the Town’s legal counsel; and authorize the Town Manager to any execute future amendments to the HRA as may be necessary under the law or generally advisable.

A public comment period will be included with this item (3 minutes).

ACTION: Council action is anticipated.

Description

The Town of Falmouth has established this Health Reimbursement Arrangement (the “HRA”) to reimburse participants for certain unreimbursed medical expenses. This HRA is intended to qualify as a self-insured medical reimbursement plan for purposes of Section 105 and 106 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Town has also contacted a third party administrator to assist the Town in administering the plan.
