Summary
Order to amend the Council rules in order to incorporate a formal Conflict of Interest policy.
A public comment period will be included with this item (3 minutes).

Description
The Council's ad-hoc Conflict of Interest policy subcommittee has worked with Town Attorney Amy Tchao to develop the proposed language. At the Council's February 22, 2016 meeting, the councilors discussed and made a change to the proposed language. A copy of the proposed policy language including that change is attached.
According to Council rules, Section 23: "No rule shall be amended or repealed without notice in writing being given at the preceding meeting, and amendment or repeal of any of these rules shall be by Order of the Council. (Amended 8/27/90)".
