Summary
Update from the Tercentennial Committee and a Resolution to support the budget for the Tercentennial celebration.
A public comment period will be included (3 minutes).
ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Description
The Tercentennial Committee will offer a presentation on their work and plans for the observance of the Town's 300th anniversary. The Committee needs to move forward with a promotional kick-off in April, before the full Municipal budget is approved, in order to keep on schedule with planning events and securing sponsorships. Therefore, they are asking for a resolution from the Council supporting their proposed budget.
Based on feedback at recent Finance Committee meetings, the Town Manager and the Committee have met and scaled back their original proposed budget for FY 17-18. This revised budget is included in the attached report.
