Summary
Ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances, Coastal Waters Ordinance in order to decrease the number of dinghy permits.

Description
The Harbor and Waterfront Committee is requesting this amendment to the Coastal Waters ordinance to reduce the number of allowed dinghy permits. In recent years, the increase in private dinghies has created a safety issue at the floats. The Town provides 5 public dinghies for the use of mooring holders.
In response to questions from the Council at the public hearing, town staff have attached a memo discussing the maintenance and upkeep of the town dinghies, and the possible purchase of additional dinghies for public use.
