Summary
Public Hearing on an ordinance to establish a moratorium on retail marijuana establishments and retail marijuana social clubs.

ACTION: Schedule order.
Description
The Council has concluded, after three workshops, that more time is necessary to establish policy for land use and licensing for retail marijuana establishments and retail marijuana social clubs as defined in the Marijuana Legalization Act. The impacts of permitting such establishments in the Town are yet to be determined and a moratorium places a temporary prohibition on these establishments to give the Council adequate time to develop policy.
