Summary
Ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances, Article II-8-13 Commercial Waste Hauling, to limit the hours during which commercial waste containers may be serviced.
Public comment period will not be included with this item as public comment was taken at an earlier date.
ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Description
The Council assigned this work plan item to the Ordinance Committee after complaints, especially in the VC District area, of commercial waste containers being serviced during the time that most people are sleeping. The committee recommends a town-wide restriction between the hours of 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. The property/business owner is responsible for assuring that the ordinance is respected.
