Updated January 11, 2023:  MaineDOT has scheduled additional short rolling closures during the overnight hours of January 17, January 18, and January 19. The closures will take place between 10:00pm and 5:00am and last no longer than 25 minutes. These closures are in addition to one previously scheduled on January 15 (see below).

MaineDOT has reported that utility relocation work on the Bucknam Road Bridge project last night, requiring short closures of I-295, went according to plan and will continue tonight, January 9, as scheduled between 10:00pm and 5:00am. In addition, another series of short rolling closures of both northbound and southbound lanes of I-295 has been scheduled for January 15, 2023 between 10:00pm and 5:00am. Once again, Maine State Police will facilitate the closures which will last no longer than 25 minutes. Advance warning will be posted on message boards to allow traffic to exit the interstate prior to the closure area. Additional short closures may be required in the coming weeks and additional notices will be sent upon confirmation of scheduling.
