National Drug Take-Back Event

On Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, the Falmouth Police Department will hold a Drug Take-Back event at the police station on Marshall Drive. This national initiative provides an opportunity for the public to dispose of pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for destruction. Expired, unused, or unwanted controlled substances in our homes are a potential source of supply for the increasing abuse of pharmaceutical drugs in the United States and pose a risk to public health and safety every day. Since 2010, this initiative has resulted in over 1.6 million pounds of pharmaceutical waste collected over twenty-two drug take-back events in New England. Falmouth PD encourages residents to take stock of their medicine cabinets and drop off any unused, unwanted, or outdated medications to the police station for safe disposal.
