Continuation of Discussion about Establishing an Ordinance/Policy Regarding the Use of “Eminent Domain” When Necessary to Construct and Maintain Town/Public Infrastructure (Roads, Drainage, Wastewater Collection, etc.).

Description

At its October 14, 2020 meeting the Committee asked staff to draft a section in the Town purchasing guidelines and policy that addresses the taking of property for infrastructure projects. The draft section (Section X) was presented at the November 9, 2020 meeting. At that meeting the Council asked for the draft policy to be reviewed by the Town Attorney.
