Bryce was elected to Town Council in 2023.  Bryce is originally from Iowa and grew up in Colorado.  After graduating from Colorado College in 1998, Bryce became a public high school science teacher and football coach in the Mississippi Delta with Teach For America.  Afterwards, Bryce completed the Coro Fellows Program in public policy leadership in St. Louis and then a Master of Science in public policy management from Carnegie Mellon University.

In 2004, Bryce moved back to Colorado, and took over the role as the Executive Director of a private foundation where he oversaw the transition from local scholarships into a national leader in support and outreach to future and existing science teachers in high school science education on a national level.  Later, Bryce took on the role of Executive Director of a multi-sector collaborative effort to reduce homelessness in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In 2013, Bryce and his family made an intentional move to Falmouth, Maine.  Bryce served director roles for nonprofits in social service and environmental conservation while teaching graduate courses in nonprofit and public management at the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School and serving on the Board of Directors for the Falmouth Memorial Library and the Cumberland/Falmouth Chamber of Commerce.  In 2018, Bryce started a business called Maine Food for Thought with his wife, Sarah, an educational food tour based on locally and sustainably sourced food, which had a great run until the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible to run the business.

Bryce started at North Yarmouth Academy in 2020 where he teaches biology, AP environmental science, and systems thinking.  Bryce also serves as the Chair of the Board for the nonprofit organization, Population Connection, and as a certified Maine Master Naturalist.
