Description
Residents occasionally submit requests to limit or regulate commercial vehicle operations on local roads. Recently, the Town Council received input from a resident on Brook Road who asked the Town Council to enforce an existing ordinance requirement that restricts commercial vehicles on Brook Road.
Regulating and enforcing commercial vehicle restrictions on local roads requires thoughtful consideration of state MDOT policies/rules, federal laws, roadway conditions, and other matters. The attached memorandum from the Town Manager and accompanying attachments describe these considerations.
