Description
In accordance with state statute (30-A MRS ss 3516), the procedure for preparation and adoption of the annual Metro Bus budget requires submittal of a preliminary budget and local subsidy formula to each participating community no later than October 31. If the District receives notice of refusal, within 30 days, to accept the formula by the municipal officers of any participating community, the District is then required to petition the PUC by December 15th to establish the formula.
A copy of the budget and subsidy formula is attached. Staff from the Transit District will also offer a presentation at the meeting.
