Summary
An update from the Senior Committe on the proposed Senior Center and an order to approve a supplemental appropriation and transfer in the amount of $75,000 from Unassigned Fund Balance to finance the construction.
A public comment period will be included (3 minutes).
ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Description
Town staff and the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee (SCAC) will update the Town Council on the Senior Room design and construction process. After working with Port City Architecture on the design, the committee has received construction estimates from the construction manager. A memo outlining these costs is attached, as well as furniture brochures and pricing information. A draft architectural sketch of the proposed room design is also attached. The committee is requesting an appropriation for the project in the amount of $75,000.
