Flash Flood Watch for Presumpscot River

Falmouth EMA Logo

A landslide in Westbrook today has blocked the Presumpscot River causing water levels to rise upstream and creating a temporary dam. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the river downstream of Westbrook which includes Falmouth. Please be advised that water levels and velocity may rise unexpectedly. Residents are advised to avoid the river at this time. Access to the river off Gray Road (Route 100) and at Walton Park has been closed. Falmouth EMA is working with Westbrook officials to monitor the situation. We will provide further updates accordingly.
