Description
Falmouth is a regulated municipality under the EPA’s Clean Water Act. Any municipality within an urbanized area that has a drainage system that discharges to State waters has to comply with the regulations under the Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s General Permit. As part of the permit requirements, the municipality is responsible for providing education and outreach with regards to stormwater impacts. During this permit year, the target audiences are municipal officers, Councilors, and Town Staff. Jay Reynolds, Public Works Director, will provide a presentation that will give an overview of the stormwater program.
