Summary
Resolution to adopt the Cumberland County Hazard Mitigation Plan.

ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Description
The Five Year Hazard Mitigation Plan has been approved by FEMA pending approval of all communities in Cumberland County. FEMA requires each town to approve the plan so that the county will be able to access Pre-Disaster Mitigation funding in the future. The plan is intended to provide an overview of threats facing the county while also providing consistency in reporting for all jurisdictions in Cumberland County. Approving the plan does not commit the Town of Falmouth to anything; it only allows us to be eligible for mitigation grant funding.
Attached is a memo from town staff, discussing how the plan was developed and listing projects for Falmouth and their status, a Powerpoint presentation developed by the County, and the Resolution in the format required by the County.
