Summary
Resolution to support recently approved amendments to the Falmouth Memorial Library expansion site plan

Description
In July 2018, the Falmouth Memorial Library's Board of Trustees reported that the construction estimates for the building expansion exceeded the original budget by more than $2 million. In response, the Board engaged with their architects and engineers to evaluate all aspects of the proposed renovation and identify ways to reduce costs without impacting programming. This effort led to $1 million worth of reductions, necessitating a return to the Planning Board for a site plan amendment. The Planning Board reviewed and approved the amended site plan on January 8, 2019, and the Town Council reviewed it on January 28, 2019.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Town and the Falmouth Memorial Library requires that changes to the site plan that trigger Planning Board review must also receive consent from the Council. The attached resolution formalizes the Council's consent for these changes.
