In October 2018, the Council adopted the Open Space Plan: Honoring Our Legacy, Now and for Our Future.  This plan was developed by the Long-range Planning Advisory Committee plus members of LMAC as assigned by the Council in 2016.  This plan addresses the conservation of natural resources and provision for recreational open space in the town, and replaces the 2006 Greening of Falmouth.  The Council assigned implementation of the plan to LMAC and staff. LMAC’s main task this year has been the preparation of an implementation strategy that organizes and prioritizes the recommended actions in the plan.  Attached is LMAC’s recommended approach for implementation, including a memo laying out the work for FY20 and FY21, the complete implementation matrix with an appendix cross-referencing tasks to the recommended actions of the plan, and an excerpt from the plan detailing the goals and recommended actions. Attached for reference is the PowerPoint presented to the Council in October 2018 explaining the development and fundamental goals of the plan.  Here is the link to the complete plan – 2018 Open Space Plan
