Summary
Report from the Appointments Committee and order regarding various vacancies on Boards and Committees.

Description
The Appointment Committee recommendation is attached.
In additon to new appointments, the Appointment Committee recommends re-appointing exisiting committee and board members whose attendance has fallen below the minimum ordinance requirement. The Appointments Committee met on August 1 to review the current Town board and committee member attendance policy. The ordinance states: "A member of a board or commission who fails to attend at least fifty (50) percent of all meetings during the preceding twelve-month period or who fails to attend four (4) consecutive regular meetings shall be deemed to have resigned from the board or commission. When a vacancy occurs under this section, the chair of the board or commission shall immediately advise the town clerk in writing" (Ord. of 1-23-2006; Amd. of 12-13-2010). Recognizing that these members may have been unfamiliar with the attendance policy because it has not been enforced by the town, the Appointments Committee recommends their re-appointment. Effective immediately, the board and committee attendance policy will be enforced.
